In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, health and public safety programs at Western Technical College are donating medical supplies to local health care facilities in need.
Starting this week, staff in Western’s Health and Public Safety division have begun the process of collecting and donating the College’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other consumable medical supplies to healthcare facilities and EMS responders in the area. The division is also offering the College’s ventilators to help with growing demand in treating COVID-19.
“Western Technical College believes that getting all medical supplies and vital equipment, such as ventilators, into the hands of those who are meeting the healthcare needs of our community is vital,” said Kat Linaker, vice president of academics at Western. “They need these supplies, especially ventilators, to save lives.”
