Western Technical College students and staff members volunteered at several Salvation Army bell ringing sites as part of their annual Red Kettle campaign on Friday, Nov. 15.
Bell ringing sites included several Valley View Mall locations, Festival Foods and Woodman’s stores. Western employees or students worked in teams, working two-hour shifts at a location.
“Attending college is not just about the academic experience inside the classroom,” said Kari Reyburn, director of Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement at Western. “We hope this opportunity will teach our students and staff the importance of being civic-minded, while giving back to our most vulnerable populations.”
Way to go, everyone!
