As we enter this final week of the spring term, we have one last staff profile for you! Today, we feature Tracy Craker.
-What do you do on campus?
I am an instructor in the Early Childhood Education program. I have the incredible opportunity to teach students who shape lives by working with children from birth – age 8.
-Do you have a favorite place at Western?
I have two favorite places on campus, both of which are hidden gems! One is the third floor of the Coleman building, where you can sense the learning happening as you walk down the hall! The other is the YWCA Child Center on the far east side of campus, where the children’s smiles relieve the stress of the day.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, sewing, cooking and watching live performances of almost any type.
-Advice for students?
My advice for students is to not get so caught up in the stress of college that you miss the journey! Take time to make friends, try new things and love learning!
Thank you, Tracy!
