Staff Profile: Aimee Schomburg

As we begin our final week of classes for the fall term, we have one more staff profile for you!

Today, we feature Aimee Schomburg!

-What do you do on campus?

I am a Farm Business & Production Management instructor, I also teach a few of the agronomy classes for the Agribusiness program. As a FBPM instructor, I am rarely on campus since I spend most of my time out at farms helping farm families improve their businesses through financial management and animal and crop production practices.

-Where is your favorite place at Western?

My favorite place at Western is in a school vehicle traveling with students to a field day or farm for hands-on learning. The discussions in the vehicle are so much fun!

-What are your hobbies?

My hobbies are helping my family run our own dairy farm, baking, and spending time outdoors gardening and hunting/fishing.

-Advice for students?

My advice for students is don’t been afraid to fail, so many people won’t try simply because they are afraid. “Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.” Zig Ziglar

Thanks, Aimee!
