Western Players Earn MCAC All-State Honors

A couple of Western baseball players are once again honored for their performance this season.

Infielder Mitch Martin was named to the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) first team all-state honors for this season. According to www.mcacsports.org, Martin committed only three total errors on the season, while batting .394 and only two strikeouts on the year.

Infielder Jakob Masterson was also named to MCAC’s second team all-state honors this year. The first year student hit .317, drawing 12 walks. He also amounted five doubles during the season.
