Western Technical College’s Cindy Prindle has been awarded Western’s Distinguished Service-Learning award for her work in service projects within the IT-Computer Support Specialist program.
Prindle has been an instructor in the IT-Computer Support Specialist program at Western since 2015. Her classes support a number of projects within the community, including Western’s student-run computer help desk, computer training classes for the public, and volunteer hours at a number of local organizations.
“Cindy’s high-impact teaching strategy undoubtedly changes the lives of our students and community,” said Kari Reyburn, Community Engagement coordinator at Western. “Her teaching makes a difference and an impact.”
The award, which honors instructors for supporting service learning within their classrooms, was established in 2016. Prindle will be honored at a ceremony on Wednesday, April 25 at Western.
