Western Technical College’s Landscape Horticulture Club students braved the cold and snow to once again host their annual plant sale last week.
Students sold house plants, vegetables, and flowering annuals and perennials. Proceeds from the sale went towards the Horticulture Club’s activities and events. The club offered a free house plant if shoppers brought a non-perishable food item for Western’s Cavalier Cupboard.
Organizers say despite the snowstorm last Wednesday, hundreds of buyers took part in the event. Due to the storm, the sale closed early on Wednesday, but had additional time on Friday for those who couldn’t make it out before.
Way to go, everyone!
