Western Technical College hosted its bi-annual college-wide open house event on Wednesday, March 21 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the La Crosse, Black River Falls, Independence, Mauston, Tomah and Viroqua locations.
Several students from across the area were on hand to learn more about the college.
Program and admissions information, facility tours, refreshments, and door prizes were available at each location. The residence hall in La Crosse was be open for tours and wait list sign up. The college waived the $30 application fee for those who apply during the open house. High school seniors and older are eligible to apply for summer 2018, fall 2018, and spring 2019. High school juniors were eligible to apply for summer 2019 and fall 2019.
At the La Crosse main campus, all activities were held in the Lunda Center. There were representatives from student services, clubs and organizations, and four-year universities that accept Western credits. Financial aid (FAFSA) filing for the 2018-2019 school year was available at the La Crosse main campus only.
The Vehicle Technology Center, 2719 Larson St., La Crosse, which houses the Automotive Technician and Truck and Heavy Equipment Technician programs, was open for program information and facility tours.
