Western Technical College celebrated Manufacturing Month in Wisconsin with two special events on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Western’s Business and Industry Services hosted a manufacturing luncheon from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The event highlighted partnerships between local school districts and businesses, as well as showcased various student projects from the area. Tours of Western’s Integrated Technology Center were available following the event.
Following the luncheon, Western’s Career Services department and various local employers hosted a Manufacturing and Trades Career Fair at the Lunda Center from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
More than 20 employers, including Trane, Great Lakes Cheese, and Multistack were on hand to speak with students about career opportunities in the manufacturing field.
