Wisconsin U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin was honored for her work in HUD Community Development block grants at a ceremony in La Crosse Tuesday.
Since her time in politics, Baldwin has advocated for community development funding for communities across the state. In La Crosse, federal dollars are used to help fund building program between the City of La Crosse and Western, where students from Western’s Wood Tech program help build homes for the city. The program dates back to 1996.
Prior to the ceremony, Sen. Baldwin had the opportunity to speak with Western students and instructors about the program.
Thank you, Senator Baldwin!
