Athletics Update: 11-20

Western Technical College’s basketball teams were back in action again this past weekend.

On the women’s side, the Cavaliers lost to Bay College 78-62. Despite being only down one at the half, Bay College pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Western 27-16.

Western’s Lexy Schroeder and Lindsey Murphy were the leading scorers for the team, each putting up 13 points. Rylee Gabel led the Cavaliers with nine rebounds.

The loss is the first for the Cavaliers this season (2-1). Western will next play a non conference game against UW-Richland on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 5:00 p.m.

On the men’s side, Western lost to Bay College 71-63. Western’s Mhalik Lindsey led the Cavaliers with 13 points off the bench. Andrew Scott led with 10 rebounds.

This is the first loss for the men’s team this season (1-1). They next play at UW-Sheybogan at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.
