Western and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater La Crosse partnered together Tuesday, July 31 to provide a hands-on demonstration for children.
Western hosted an occupational lab event designed to introduce children from the Boys and Girls Club to unique career opportunities in the growing manufacturing industry.
It total, twelve students from the club participated in the event.
Officials say many kids are unaware of the career opportunities in the manufacturing industries.
“This is a great partnership for both organizations,” said Tyler Ludeking, K-12 Relations Specialist at Western. “It will give some of their students an experience that they might not have had otherwise. It also exposes them to a career opportunity that they might not have know existed beforehand.”
Western hosted another occupational labs event on Thursday, Aug. 2.
