Thousands gathered inside the La Crosse Center to watch Western’s graduating class on Saturday.

In total 1,460 individuals received a degree, technical diploma, or certificate during the 2017-18 academic year. Of the graduates, 635 received associate’s degrees, 797 received technical diplomas, and 28 students have completed apprenticeships. In addition, students from 32 certificate programs completed their studies during the 2017-18 academic year.

Speakers for the event will included Western president Roger Stanford and the 2018 student ambassador, Alyssa Boardman, a student in the Human Resource Management program. The keynote speaker was Bernadine “Bernie” Hornby, a 1980 graduate of the Interior Design program, who was recently named the 2018 Distinguished Alumna by Western’s Alumni Association. Hornby is currently the president of the Vernon Electric Cooperative Board.

The event showcased the best of what Western has to offer.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
