Athletics Update: 12-7

Western’s men’s and women’s teams were in action last night against Madison College in La Crosse.

On the men’s side, Western lost a close game to the WolfPack, 85-79. Kadar Farah lead the Cavaliers¬†with 18 points. Western was up 39-36 at halftime, but couldn’t pull out the victory. With the loss, Western falls to 2-5 on the season. The Cavaliers next game is at Mesabi Range CTC on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Western’s women’s team also lost a close game to Madison College, 59-56. Lexy Schroeder lead the Cavaliers with 14 points. Similar to the men’s side, Western was up 18-9 after the first quarter, but couldn’t maintain the lead. The loss drops the Cavaliers to 0-7 on the season. The Cavaliers next game is at Mesabi Range CTC on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
